November's PSL finals

The Fragfest in AC and Sauer was a success.
The turnout in Sauer was lower than expected, presumably due to the fact that little time was spent on advertising. The EU fest was large with }TC{beast winning the efficiency game, the AM fest was of average size but with more of a community feel - w00p|Drakas won this one. The OC fest was a nice bunch of fun, mainly with clanplayers - w00p|Drakas winning this one.
In AC, we had about 60 people playing at a single time in the EU fest, which was a bit of a mess to manage. The AM fest went very nicely after the lesson of management. The OC fest was really fun, and was finally the time that I could sit down and have a proper game myself :)
Screenshots and demos (!) will be uploaded as soon as I find the time to make a gallery script and tag everything to make it more accessible. There's about 200MB of data.
Mumble & radio
Now this was the main bit of fun, IMO. We were able to make it so we can stream mumble conversations into an internet stream.
The starting EU and AM games were great with quite a few people, and turned out to be funny to play on. We had Beast, Unlix, kitty, Drakas, LiFe, Sanzo, ech0, doctor, Finn and lots more people mumbling in those two fests. Others were just silently idling in Mumble, not saying a word ^.^'
But the OC-AC fest was perhaps the most memorable... ever! We had Syntax, Dreamer (♥), Shorty, Takkunnen, LiFe, Rhubarb, Drakas and a few other people playing in AssaultCube and Mumbling at the same time. It was simply hillarious. Dreamer thought of making use of voicecom to say 'Nice shot' at once at certain times, as well as "I'm coming in with the flag!" when in a DM game. Quite a few people managed to crash because of this. Towards the end, we had a Mumble vs. all game, such that we could come up with funny things to do. We renamed ourselves to |MuM|, but in the end, everyone just copied us without understanding why we used the tag in the first place... There also were a lot of "That's what she said" jokes, so we certainly were not kept unentertained for the duration of the fest. Unbelievable. Thank you so much!
A very big thank you for participating, and I hope to see you this New Year! :)
Recent competition
This PSL qualifiers went pretty bad for us. In FFA, Majikal and Drakas qualified, the former having the choice of the first map. In insta, kreptor was the only one to play the big game but did not qualified. Because of the Asylum incident, tenshi can still win the grandchampion of insta next week. In capture, we failed completely. However, kreptor participated in the _|_ team, which qualified to play next week. For CTF, we won the grandchampion status last month, so were not allowed to compete this month. In instactf, we did not qualify.
In AC, NR were reluctant to set up a game with us and strangely enough, the ESL admin gave them a default win. Of course we are protesting, but clearly ärkefiende is ignoring anything. Claims that NR 'attempted contact' with us are nonsense, as I've not received a single message from them. They refused to play right before they were given their default win because they didn't have the players. We still hope to play if the possibility is open.
Happy third Birthday, Woop!
The time has come to celebrate our third birthday! We are celebrating it this week. The official date is tomorrow, but we have some things to say beforehand, as it was formed a little earlier, and the dates are imprecise.
Woop has gone through a lot with its brilliant players of Sauerbraten and AssaultCube. We had many fun times and some sad times, but we never ceased to move on, whatever the situation.
As a special occasion, we bring you the famous Woop Clan Fragfest this week across Europe, Americas and Oceania!
Happy third Birthday, Woop!
October PSL
tenshi is the new grandchampion in FFA, and Woop is the new grandchampion in CTF. Unfortunately, Capture and Insta were lost. See you soon :)
AC ESL progress
The Woop Clan Tyr team (Drakas/tenshi/Majikal/Meatpie) played 5 out of 7 games, getting 4 wins and 1 loss (oNe). ANGRA will be played this Sunday, and the status with DES is unknown.
The Woop Clan Wodanaz team (many players) played 6 out of 6 games, getting 5 wins and 1 loss (LC).
We also heard that Davitomon resigned as the main administrator, giving ärkefiende the position.
Good job, HF & GL in the league!
September PSL
w00p managed to gather 5/5 victories second time in a row in PSL and has now become grand champ in iCTF. Tune back again next month to see if w00p can get grand champ in all modes next week.
